My mother's crock pot died. It is...was only one year old. Dad took it apart to see if he could fix it, but the final evaluation listed it as completely useless and unsalvageable. One single strand of hair thin wire wrapped around the inside casing of the appliance incinerated against the ceramic wall was the failure. Substandard materials made in China are also listed as primary causes for destruction.
Another designer made product created with a life expectancy of only one year or less. Intended to be used and thrown away ie; engineered obsolecence. Next years crock pot design will have long line ups of shoppers, who had last years pot now dead and defunct, ready and anxious to purchase. Looking for designer labels colour coordinated to match this years designer kitchen cabinets chromy and pretty as all get out.
